33 Years of Design and Marketing Experience

Intuitive, Creative Design

I entered the world of graphic design in 1992, and what a journey it has been! For many years, I also owned a printing company, and we printed most of what I designed for clients. From logos to sales sheets and envelopes to brochures, I have designed thousands of pieces over the years.

In 2015, I was asked to design a book cover. Although I had never designed a book cover before, I was intrigued and had no idea where it would lead. Goat Lips by Matthew Taylor was my first cover, and after it was completed, I asked myself where book cover design had been my whole career.

Shortly after that first book cover, I switched the focus of my design to authors and added interior design, eBooks, author websites, and marketing collateral to my services. It was the best decision I have made in my business, and today, I have helped over 400 authors bring their books to life.

In 2020, Richard joined Wolf Design and Marketing as a publishing consultant, helping authors navigate the complex world of self-publishing. Together, we provide expert design, strategic guidance, and support throughout the self-publishing process.

When not working with authors, Rich and I cook, travel, read, kayak, hike, and snowshoe. I discovered my love of painting in 2020, and after a few years of exploration, I now focus on abstract pieces that express emotions. Visit victoriawolfart.com to view my art. You’ll also find my book, Perpetual Conflict: A Journey of Art and Redemption.

Working with authors to help them create a stunning visual representation of their words and ideas brings me great joy. I can’t wait to help you with your book.

Indie-Author Guide

30 Years of Sales and Marketing Experience

Strategic Publishing Guide

I have spent my career in sales and marketing with various Fortune 500 companies. Along the way, I’ve always been passionate about reading—especially memoirs and nonfiction. I love learning about people’s personal stories! I never imagined I would one day combine my love of reading with my professional experience in sales, marketing and project management to start a new career in publishing.

In 2019, I jumped at the opportunity to participate in a new publishing consulting certification course. Not only did I complete the program and begin a new career as a publishing consultant, but I also had the privilege of training and mentoring others to become consultants themselves. Since then, I’ve guided over 200 authors in successfully launching their books!

Today, Victoria and I are dedicated to guiding indie authors through every step of the self-publishing process. I’m passionate about staying ahead of the ever-evolving trends in the publishing industry. I continually study market shifts, new service providers, and emerging technologies so I can create innovative strategies to provide the best guidance to our clients.

We are proud to expand our passion for publishing and empowering indie authors with the launch of Wolfs on Books, a YouTube channel providing insight, inspiration, and information for authors navigating their own publishing journey. Be sure to check it out.

When I’m not working with authors, you’ll likely find me exploring my creative side in the kitchen with Victoria. You can also find us cycling, kayaking, or hiking in the great outdoors. When I’m at home, I enjoy throwing pottery and occasionally plucking away on my bass guitar.

Everyone has a unique story, and I would love the opportunity to help you share yours with the world.

Cheers!

Richard
