Self-publishing is not easy, especially for first-time self-published authors. There are many decisions to be made in terms of writing, publishing, and marketing your book. It is not impossible to do yourself but it is easier and cheaper in the long run to use external publishing resources. There are a number of companies you can use to help you with this process. I spoke with six of them and eventually selected the one which provided the best combination of quality work, great advice, easy to work with, and reasonable price. The selected resource is a husband-and-wife team, Rich and Victoria Wolf. Rich is a highly knowledgeable consultant who can either provide complete publishing resources or provide à la carte services. He helped through the entire publishing process making it easier for me and saving me a lot of money. He is extremely easy to work with and very responsive. His ace in the hole is his wife who is a cover designer. Once I looked at her portfolio online, I was sold. It was great hard work, very impactful, and very distinctive. My cover design for my book, Trump's Second Term: What If Pres. Donald J Trump and Won Reelection in 2020 has been continually praised for its distinctive and compelling cover. But not only did I use Victoria for my cover, but she also helped me design my press releases and website. She was extremely cooperative and responsive. We went through many iterations and revisions, some large and some small, and she never complained. In fact, she provided very positive input throughout the process I love Rich and Victoria. They are both great individually and even greater as a team. I will definitely use them again on my next project.
